Our office is situated on the 14th floor of the Air India Building. It is a very tall building, so we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the elevators every single morning. Being up that high gives you a different perspective on the city skyline. Kanoria Industries Ltd. has its main operations centered here. Most of our day is spent dealing with industrial matters and various administrative tasks. It is a professional atmosphere, but it is also pretty down-to-earth once you get to know the people working in the cubicles. The 14th floor is usually buzzing with the sound of printers and people talking on their headsets to clients. We have got a lot of files and technical manuals stacked up in the corners of the room. It is an industrial company, so we are focused on the practical side of things rather than looking fancy. We do not really go for all the flashy stuff you see in some of the newer office buildings downtown. The Air India Building is a bit of a classic, and we like being part of that history. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, and other times it is just right. We just bring a sweater and get on with the work. Dealing with large-scale industrial projects means there is always something new to learn or a problem that needs solving. We take it one day at a time from our desks.
