Pinky Collection

Pinky Collection is located right on Shivaji Road in Kandivali West, which means it’s always a bit of a scramble. The traffic outside is constant, and you can hear the horns honking from morning until late at night. Our shop is packed with hangers and racks of all sorts of things. We don't have a lot of empty space, so we have to be smart about how we hang the latest arrivals. Most of our day is spent re-arranging the racks because people move things around while they're looking. It’s just me and two other helpers most of the time. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local spot where people come to see what's new for the week. The mirror in the corner is a bit loose, but it works fine for what people need. We don't use any fancy lighting, just the regular tubes on the ceiling. When it rains, we have to move the front racks back so they don't get splashed by the cars passing on Shivaji Road. It’s a busy life in Kandivali, and we’ve been part of it for a good while now. We know which styles people in this neighborhood like, so we try to keep that in mind when we're getting new stock. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy and we like the pace of the street.
