Salient Impex Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Unit No. B/20 in the Bonanza Industrial Estate. If you know Kandivali East, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. The estate itself has been around for a long time. It’s full of different units doing all sorts of things. We’ve got our space here on the ground level, which makes moving stuff in and out a bit easier than being on the upper floors. It’s not a very fancy place, just a regular office with some storage space. Most of the time it’s just the sound of the fans and the occasional truck backing up outside. We spend most of our mornings dealing with paperwork and checking on shipments. Kandivali has changed a lot over the years, but this industrial pocket stays mostly the same. The traffic on the main road can be a headache, especially during the monsoon when everything slows down. We’ve been operating from this unit for quite some time now. It’s a practical spot for us. We don't have a big reception or anyone to greet people at the door because we are usually busy in the back or on the phone. It’s just a normal workplace where we handle the import and export side of things. Sometimes the electricity flickers, but that’s just part of being in an older industrial area. We like it here because it’s close to the station and people know where Bonanza is. It’s home for the business.
