ASHUTOSH OVERSEAS ENTERPRISES

I have been coming to this office in Sharda Chambers for a long time now. It is located at 15 New Marine Lines, which is a really busy part of Mumbai. Ashutosh Overseas Enterprises is just the name on the door, but to us, it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. Being in room 208 means we have a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift. The area outside is always loud with the sound of the local trains and people walking to their own jobs. We do overseas work, which mostly involves a lot of phone calls and sitting at the desk. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just some old wooden desks and piles of files that never seem to go away. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months when the Mumbai humidity is at its peak. We have a small crew here, and we all know each other well. Sometimes the tea seller from downstairs comes up and we take a break. Working at Marine Lines has its perks, like being close to the water, but mostly it's just a lot of work. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just try to get the orders right and make sure everything is sorted before we head home in the evening. It’s a plain, honest living for us here in the city.
