If you ever find yourself on Nagdevi Street in Mandvi, you will know it is the center of the hardware trade. Our shop and office, Antop Trading Co., is located at No. 94. It is a very tight street, always crowded with handcarts and people moving heavy boxes. We have been part of this market for a long time. Our space is functional and basic. We don’t have air conditioning in every corner or soft carpets. It is a place of business where we deal with tools and various trading items. There is a certain smell of metal and grease in the air around here that we have grown used to. We spend our time sourcing products and making sure they get to the right people. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes shouting over the noise of the street. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or polished. We are market people who speak plainly and work hard. Most of our neighbors have been here for decades, and we all know each other. We eat our snacks at the same tea stalls and talk about how the market is moving. It is a tough environment but a very honest one. We just keep our stock ready and try to be as reliable as we can. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure.
