Ashish Imports

We are located in Shanti Bhavan, which is at 167 Bora Bazar Street. It’s right near the Jain Mandir in the Fort area. If you know that spot, you know it’s a maze of narrow streets and tiny shops. We are on the first floor. Working in imports means we are always looking at what’s coming in from other countries. There’s always a container somewhere that we’re waiting for or a shipment that is stuck. The paperwork for customs can be a real headache sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. The office is simple. We have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of lists on the walls. Being in Bora Bazar means there’s always something happening outside. It’s a very traditional business area. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the neighbors and the shopkeepers downstairs. Most of our day is spent tracking shipments and talking to suppliers on the phone. We don't really do anything complicated. It’s just about getting the goods to where they need to go once they land at the port. Our staff is local, and we’ve mostly been together for a long time. It’s a bit of a tight-knit group here. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what we need to work. Every morning we open up the shutters, have some tea, and start going through the manifestos. That is how the day goes here.
