Our shop is number 24 in the Neptune Building, right across from Joggers Park in Thakur Village, Kandivli East. It’s a nice area to be in because of the greenery across the street. Even though we are an import-export firm, being in a shop-front makes us feel more connected to the people walking by. We don't have a large staff, just a couple of us who handle everything from the phones to the filing. The office is fairly small, so we have to be careful not to let the papers pile up too high. We have a small window that lets in some light, which is nice in the afternoons. Thakur Village has a lot of energy, and we like being part of that. We aren't a big corporation with multiple floors and fancy elevators. You just walk right in from the sidewalk. Most of our work is done through emails and phone calls to different ports and suppliers. It can be stressful when things get delayed, but we just take it one step at a time. We don't use any complicated slogans or try to sound more important than we are. We are just a local business trying to get the daily work done. We eat our lunch at our desks most days and watch the people heading to the park for their evening walks. It’s a decent way to spend the working hours without much fuss.
