Kanchan Impex

Kanchan Impex is tucked away in Shop 494/100 inside Rungta Bhawan. If you know Phanaswadi and Charni Road, you know how crowded it gets around here. The building is old and the hallways are narrow, filled with people moving goods and messengers running around. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are shelves stacked with files and samples of the stuff we trade. Most of our day is spent on the phone or responding to emails on the old computer. The noise from the street outside never really stops, even in the late afternoon. We get a lot of light from the small window that looks out towards the back. We don't have a big staff, so we end up doing a bit of everything, from packing small boxes to dealing with the paperwork for the customs guys. It can get a bit stressful when a shipment is delayed, but we just keep at it. We usually have a thermos of tea on the desk to get us through the afternoon slump. Charni Road is a fast-paced place, and we try to keep up with the rhythm of the area. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of logistics and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the month. When the shutters go down, the street is still buzzing, but we’re just glad to have the day’s work finished.
