Our place is at 90/92, Kalvert House on Mazgaon Road. It’s an old building, and you can feel the history when you walk through the heavy doors. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. Mazgaon is a busy part of town, so there’s always something happening right outside our windows. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with different rooms for storage and processing. We aren’t one of those new companies with open-plan offices and bean bags. It’s a traditional setup. We have desks that have been here for decades and staff who remember how things were done twenty years ago. The smell of spices and food products hangs in the air all day. It’s a constant hum of activity. We deal with a lot of paperwork because that’s just the nature of the food business. Trucks pull up on Mazgaon Road to load up, and it can get pretty hectic when the traffic is bad. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The phones ring quite a bit, and there’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a question. It’s a practical environment. We don’t worry much about how things look as long as the products are getting moved and the quality is what it should be. It’s just a regular day at Kalvert House, nothing more and nothing less.
