Kalpaka Designers & Engineers

Our office is tucked away in Lane Noumber 14 6 over in Mulund West. It’s a bit of a maze back here in Kawde Wadi, but we like it. Kalpaka Designers & Engineers is basically just us sitting around drawing boards and checking measurements. It gets pretty dusty with all the papers and blueprints lying around everywhere. We have a lot of rulers and old pens. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout over it. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. People come to us when they need something planned out or fixed up. Engineering sounds complicated but mostly it's just about making sure things don't fall over or break too easily. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just want to do the jobs that come through the door properly. The lighting in the back room is a bit dim but we make do. Often, we are just sketching out ideas until something finally makes sense. We drink a lot of chai from the shop around the corner. It helps when we're stuck on a tricky design. The neighborhood knows us by now. It’s not a shiny corporate park, just a regular street with regular people working hard. We try to be straightforward about what can be done. It's just a practical way to run a business. We don't have any flashy brochures, just some sketches and a lot of hard work.
