Our company, Niyati Trading Pvt. Ltd., operates out of Dady Sheth Agairy Lane. This part of the city is known for its narrow streets and old-world charm, but it’s also a very busy hub for trading. We spend our days managing various accounts and making sure our trading activities are running as they should. The office is pretty basic, with a few computers and a small area where we keep our files. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits; we mostly just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day of work. Trading involves a lot of patience, especially when waiting for shipments or dealing with banks. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media presence. Most of our business comes from people we have known for years. Sometimes the traffic in the lane gets so bad that we have to walk a long way to get to the main road, but that’s just part of life here. We like the energy of the area and the fact that there is always something happening. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand. It’s a very practical business and we don’t try to make it seem like anything more than it is.
