Kabra Hospital

Our doors at Kabra Hospital open early every morning here at No. 24 Dattani Chamber. If you know S.V. Road in Malad West, you know how loud and busy it gets with all the rickshaws and people rushing to the station. We are right in the middle of that noise. Inside, things are a bit quieter, but not always. We have been here for a good while, seeing folks from all over the neighborhood. The waiting room chairs are nothing special, just sturdy enough for the daily crowd. We spend a lot of time organizing files and talking to families who walk in from the street. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic through the window. Other days, we don't even have time to finish a cup of tea. It’s a practical place. We don’t have fancy rugs or art on the walls because that’s not what people come here for. They just want to see a doctor and get back to their day. Being in Malad West means we see a mix of everyone. It’s a lot of work keeping the floors clean with so many people coming in from the dusty road. We just do what needs to be done. Sometimes the power flickers or the water cooler acts up, but we fix it and keep going. That is just how it is running a hospital in this part of town.
