Starting the day at Vidyanagar is always a bit of a rush. The campus has been here for a long time, and you can see that in the trees and the way the paths are worn down. We spend most of our time in the offices or the classrooms at K J Somaiya Institute Of Management & Research. It’s a very busy spot in the Vidyavihar area, especially when the local trains are running nearby. You can hear them from the classrooms sometimes. Students are always hurrying to get to their lectures on time, and we are usually trying to keep up with all the paperwork. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we make it work. The campus has a lot of character and it feels like its own little world inside the city. We see thousands of faces every year, some just passing through and others staying for the whole course. There’s always someone asking for directions or a specific office. We just take it as it comes. It’s not a quiet place, but we like the energy. The buildings are old but they have a lot of history in them. Many people come to Vidyavihar just for this institute. We open the gates early and stay until late most evenings. Sometimes we take a break at the small tea stall just outside the main gate. It’s just a regular part of our daily life here in this corner of the city.
