Jyoti Printing Press

Jyoti Printing Press is located at 188 Khetwadi Back Road in Girgaon. We are part of the Prathamesh Society in Kranti Nagar, right off Aakurli Road. The sound of the machines is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve grown used to over the years. There’s always a faint smell of ink and paper in the air, which stays on your clothes even after you go home. We spend our days managing the press, checking the alignment, and making sure the print looks right. It’s a lot of standing around and watching the paper feed through. The society area is usually busy with neighbors and kids playing nearby. Girgaon streets are narrow, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We have stacks of paper everywhere and boxes waiting to be picked up. Our workspace isn't very organized to the outsider’s eye, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. We don't do anything fancy, just standard printing work for the local folks and small businesses. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine acts up. But we manage to get things out the door eventually. It’s just how we spend our time here at number 188, year after year.
