Jyoti Decor Systems

You have to come up to the first floor of the Gold Mohur building to find us. We’re at 174 Princess Street. The building is one of those old ones with a lot of character. Jyoti Decor Systems is packed into room 12. It’s a bit of a maze getting here with all the other shops in the building. Princess Street is famous for being crowded, so we usually get our supplies delivered early in the morning. We deal with all sorts of decor items. There are rolls of fabric and samples of different materials all over the place. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time talking to decorators and people trying to fix up their homes. It’s a small space for so much stuff. We have a big table in the middle where we spread everything out to look at it. Sometimes the light isn't great, so we have to take samples to the window to see the real color. The fans are always humming to keep the air moving. Being on the first floor means we see people walking by all day. It’s a busy atmosphere. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure we don't lose anything in the piles. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep it tidy, but that’s just how it is here. Most of our regulars know to just shout if no one is at the desk because we are usually in the back sorting something out.
