Junior Structural Engg

Our office is located at F 402 in the Suyash Csh, which sits right inside the Bandukwala Compound on Sayani Road. If you know Parel, you know how crowded it gets around the Parel St Depot, and we are right opposite that. Being a Junior Structural Engg in Mumbai means I spend a lot of time looking at site plans and worrying about the foundations of buildings in this city. The office is on the fourth floor and the lift is a bit temperamental, so I often end up taking the stairs. The Bandukwala Compound has a lot of history and there are all sorts of small businesses crammed in together here. It’s loud, dusty, and there is always some kind of construction noise coming from the street. We have a lot of paper drawings rolled up in the corners and the desks are usually covered in site photos and blueprints. Sayani Road is always jammed with traffic, especially in the evenings when the buses are coming and going from the depot. It’s not the quietest place to work but it puts us right in the heart of the action in Mumbai 400025. We just deal with the daily grind of structural calculations and site visits. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes when the whole team is in, but we are used to the noise and the pace of life here.
