Our shop is tucked into the Sea Palace building at Shop No. 1 and 2. Being near the Sea Princess Hotel means we get a mix of people walking by, some tourists and some locals who live in this part of the city. You can usually smell the salt from the sea when the wind blows the right way, though the traffic noise mostly drowns everything else out. We have two units joined together, so there is a bit more room to move around than some of the other shops nearby. We keep the clothes on hangers along the walls. It is a simple setup for us. We do not have those big TV screens or loud music playing. Mostly, it is just the sound of the ceiling fan and the occasional car horn from the street outside. We spend our mornings reorganizing the racks because customers tend to move things around quite a bit while they look. It is a small team here, just a few of us making sure things are in order. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it is slow just to watch the people going toward the hotel. The neighborhood is fairly busy, but our little corner feels a bit more settled. We have been at this location for a while, so we know the other shopkeepers in the Sea Palace pretty well. We just try to keep a good variety of stuff on the shelves so there is something to look at.
