Joseph Varikasery

We are located in Dadar, specifically at D 101. If you know Mumbai, you know that Dadar is pretty much the heart of everything. It’s always busy, always moving. Our building is right in the thick of it. You can hear the trains if you listen closely, and the street noise never really stops. Joseph Varikasery is the name on the door. The office is on the first floor, which is convenient because the lift can be a bit temperamental sometimes. It’s a small space, but we’ve organized it so everything fits. We spend most of our time here dealing with various tasks and talking to people who drop in. It’s not a polished corporate environment. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is just stuff we’ve gathered over the years. But it works for us. There is a great vada pav stall just around the corner, which is where we usually get our lunch. Being in Dadar means everything is close by, which is a good part about being at this address. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and then navigate the crowds to get home. It’s a very typical Mumbai work life. Some days are more chaotic than others, but we just take it as it comes. The staircase is a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when moving furniture. There is always someone shouting in the street below, but that is just the Mumbai way.
