High Tech Industrial Estate is a busy place to be. We've been at our spot on Caves Road in Jogeshwari East for quite a while now. It’s mostly just us making clothes and making sure the stitching is right before things head out. The traffic around here can be a real headache some mornings, but we get in early to beat the rush. It's not a fancy office at all, just a workspace with plenty of sewing machines going and thread everywhere. We handle different types of garments throughout the week. Most days involve checking fabric rolls and keeping the floor from getting too messy. The staff knows their way around the patterns without much fuss. We’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some people have been with us since the very beginning. It's loud, there's always a lot of scrap on the floor, and the tea guy comes around twice a day to keep us going. We focus on getting the work done on time because that's what keeps the lights on. Nothing stays still for long here. Boxes pile up against the wall, then they are loaded onto trucks and they go out. It’s steady work. We aren't doing anything fancy or revolutionary, just making sure the clothes are put together properly. If you come by to see us, you’ll likely hear the machines long before you see the door. It’s just the way things are in an industrial zone like this one.
