Being that close to the station means there is always a crowd and plenty of noise from the trains passing by. Our space is just a single room in the chawl, so it gets pretty tight when we have a lot of stock. We have to be really organized with how we stack things. It’s a humble setup, but it’s home for the business. Working in a chawl means you’re always around people, and there’s a lot of life happening just outside the door. We handle our flannel work and other bits right there in Room 1. It’s not a fancy corporate office with air conditioning, but we make it work with a couple of fans. Most of our day is spent dealing with suppliers or checking on the latest batches. The commute for us is easy since the station is right there, but the crowd can be a lot to handle sometimes. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors know us. We don’t really have any big plans to move or anything. It’s a honest way to earn a living, right in the heart of Jogeshwari. It’s busy, it’s loud, and it’s just how we like it. We just focus on the task at hand.
