If you're looking for us, we’re at Shop No 4 in the Neerabai Shopping Center in Bhandup West. We are quite close to Swastik Park, which is a nice little landmark for the area. The shopping center isn't one of those massive new ones; it’s a more traditional row of shops where everyone knows their neighbors. Our shop is small but we’ve managed to fit a lot into the space over the years. It feels a bit crowded sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. Most of our customers are from the surrounding buildings or folks who walk through on their way to the park. We don't spend money on big advertisements or fancy displays. The window just has a few items in it and our name on the glass. It’s a very local kind of business. I’ve been running things here for a while, and it’s mostly just me and a bit of help now and then. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait to see who comes in. Some days are slow and we just sit and chat with the other shopkeepers, but other days we are kept on our feet until closing time. It’s a decent way to spend the day, and being near the park means there’s usually a bit of a breeze in the evenings when the sun goes down. I’m happy with how things are going here in the community.
