Jignesh Roadways

You can find us over at 68/70 Clive Road, specifically in Flat No 8/4. It's right on the Satellite Road side. Being in the roadways business means there is always a lot of noise and phones ringing. This office is where all the paperwork happens. We have files stacked up on the cupboards because there’s never enough room. Jignesh usually handles the drivers while the rest of us deal with the logs. It’s a bit cramped in the flat, especially when three or four people are trying to talk at once. We’ve been in this building for a long time. The elevator is a bit slow, so I usually just take the stairs if I’m in a hurry. Outside, the traffic on Satellite Road is constant. You hear the horns all day long. We keep the windows shut most of the time to keep the dust out. It’s not a corporate setup with glass walls or anything. We have old wooden desks and a water cooler that needs a good kick sometimes to start working. Most of our day is spent tracking where the trucks are and making sure things get where they need to go. It’s hard work and it gets messy, but that’s just how it is. We don't put on an act for anyone who comes by. If you want to find us, just look for the old gate with the peeling paint. We’ve been meaning to fix it, but there are always more important things to do.
