Jhankar Printing Press

Our press is situated at 144, Bt Comp in Malad West, which is near Kemps Corner. If you come by, you will hear the sound of the printing machines before you even see the door. It is a steady, rhythmic thumping that goes on all day long. Jhankar Printing Press has been in this spot for a while, and the building shows its age a bit. We have stacks of paper everywhere, some of it yellowing at the edges, and the smell of ink is very strong. We spend most of our time adjusting the machines or checking the prints to make sure they aren't blurry. It is a messy business, and we usually have grease and ink on our hands and clothes. The floor is stained with different colors from years of spills. We do everything from small business cards to larger flyers for people in the neighborhood. Malad West is a busy area, and there is always someone coming in with a last-minute job that needs to be done. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the workshop with the presses and the cutting machines. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend hours fixing them, which is frustrating but part of the job. It’s just a regular local press where we work hard and try to keep things moving. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner for wrapping up finished orders.
