Jewel Of India

Jewel Of India has been around at the Nehru Centre in Worli for a good while now. You can find us right on Dr. Annie Besant Road. We just do our thing here every day, serving food to whoever walks through the door. It gets busy sometimes, especially when there are events going on nearby, but we try to keep up. The kitchen staff stays on their toes. People come in from the offices around here or just folks visiting the area. We have tables set up and the lights are usually dimmed a bit. It is not a fancy operation where everyone is in suits, just a place to sit down. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening crowd thins out. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but it's okay once you're inside. We don't have a big website or anything, just this spot. If you are near the 400018 area and need a meal, that's where we are. We've seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Some shops closed and others opened, but we stayed put. We just keep the stoves running. It's nothing too complicated. We focus on getting the plates out. Most days go by pretty fast. We hope the food is hot and the seats are comfortable enough. That is basically us. We are just here doing our work in Worli.
