Jewel Endoscopy Centre & Hospital

We’re located over in the Jvpd Scheme, right opposite Cooper Hospital on North South Road No. 1. Juhu is such a busy part of the city, so there’s always something noisy going on outside our windows. Jewel Endoscopy Centre & Hospital is where we spend our days looking at screens and trying to help patients figure out what's wrong. It’s a specialized kind of place compared to a general clinic. We have the endoscopy gear and a few beds for people who need to stay for a bit. It’s not a giant facility, which I think makes it feel a bit more personal than the massive hospital across the street. I usually get in early to make sure all the machines are turned on and ready to go. The traffic on Road No. 1 can be a real headache in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. We see a lot of people who are sent here by their regular doctors for specific tests. It involves a lot of paperwork and people waiting around for their results. We try to keep the atmosphere as calm as possible because people are often quite nervous about these kinds of procedures. The rooms are very basic with white walls and medical gear. Most of the staff live nearby or take the train into Juhu. We’ve been here a good while now and it’s a familiar routine. We just focus on the task at hand and keep things moving.
