Our place is located at 135 Masjid Bunder West, specifically in the Dighes Wada Behi area. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are always packed with people and carts moving goods around. Jethabhai Haribhai & Son has been here through a lot of changes in the neighborhood. The shop itself is tucked away, and you have to navigate the busy lanes to find us. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with various items and old registers. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just some ceiling fans that keep the air moving on hot days. It’s a family-run spot, so you’ll usually see a couple of us sitting behind the counter talking to customers. We deal with traditional trade, the kind of stuff that's been done here for generations. There isn't much room to walk around because we try to fit as much stock as we can into the space. Things are a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s Masjid Bunder for you. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we’ve seen the market change over the years. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, which is showing up and handling the daily business. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know. People come to us because they know we’ve been in this same spot for decades and we aren’t going anywhere. We close up early on some days when things are quiet and the heat is too much.
