Jbcn International School

You can find Jbcn International School over in Oshiwara, specifically on Harrow Avenue. It’s tucked away off the Andheri Link Road, right behind the Tarapore Towers. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know the Link Road is always moving, but our little corner is a bit more tucked back. The school building is tall and stands out against the older residential blocks nearby. Getting here in the morning can be a bit of a challenge because of the Oshiwara traffic, so we all have to leave a little early. Inside, the school feels very busy. There is a constant hum of activity from the classrooms and the staff rooms. We don’t have much in the way of a traditional playground because space is tight in Andheri, but we make use of every inch of the building. The office is usually full of people checking in or teachers grabbing their supplies for the next lesson. We have a lot of windows that look out over the neighborhood, so you can see the city life continuing while we are inside. It’s a very urban setting. Sometimes the rain makes the back lane a bit muddy, but that’s just part of living in Mumbai. We don’t try to act like we’re some quiet country school; we are right in the middle of everything and we like it that way. It’s a practical, hardworking place where everyone is just trying to get through their daily tasks.
