Jayco Golden Transport Co

Our office is at 609 in the Singapuri Building, which is a well-known spot near Parsi Dairy in Kalbadevi. Jayco Golden Transport Co has been running out of this space for many years. Kalbadevi is a very old and crowded area, so everything happens at a fast pace. We spend our time talking to drivers and checking where the trucks are. It is not a clean or quiet job. There is always someone coming in with a delivery note or complaining about traffic. We use big ledgers to keep track of all the movements. Our desks are old and the paint is peeling a bit, but they serve their purpose. We don't have much in the way of technology, just a basic phone and a calculator. Most of our business comes from long-time clients who know our address. The smell of the nearby dairy is something we have lived with for a long time. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed because of the narrow streets, and we have to spend hours on the phone fixing the schedule. It is a lot of coordination and a bit of stress, but we are used to it by now. We just stay here until the last truck is accounted for. It is honest work and it keeps us occupied. Even when it gets chaotic, we just find a way to make the deliveries happen somehow using our old logs and local knowledge.
