Jay Traders

So, we are Jay Traders. We have been sitting here at Charni Road Peddar Road 72/B for quite some time now. It’s a busy area. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We open up the shutters every morning and start the day. The building 72/B isn't the newest one on the block, but it holds up well. We spend most of our time inside handling things. People walk past the shop all day long going to the station or wherever they are headed. Peddar Road is always moving. We have a small fan that hums in the corner. It gets dusty, so we have to wipe the shelves often. There isn't much to say other than we are just here doing what we do. It’s mostly routine work. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. The tea guy comes around twice a day. Charni Road has its own rhythm, you know? Sometimes it’s raining hard and we just watch the water run down the street from the doorway. We don't have any big fancy signs or anything. Just the name Jay Traders on the front. It’s a simple setup. We keep the books, talk to the people who come in, and wait for the sun to go down so we can head home. It's just a regular place at 72/B. We like the morning air before the cars start honking. It is what it is.
