Jay Prakash and Brothers is a family-run thing, and we’ve been at this same spot for a long time. The shop isn't very big, and honestly, it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We spend our days moving crates and talking to the regular customers who have been coming to us for years. Sutar Chawl is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone’s business, and we are just another part of that daily rhythm. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors in the morning and start working. My brothers and I handle everything ourselves, from the heavy lifting to the accounts. It’s hard work and the air can get a bit dusty with all the goods around, but it’s what we know. There’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just focus on the items we sell. If you walk down the lane, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded now, but it’s still there.
