Being down on the ground floor in Goregaon East means we see a lot of the heavy trucks coming and going from Yadhav Transport across the way. It’s a noisy spot but it works for what we do here. We spend most of our time working with rubber and doing engineering stuff that people don't usually think about until they need a part replaced. The machines make a lot of noise and it gets pretty warm in the shop during the afternoons. We’ve got stacks of materials all over the place because there’s always something being made or fixed. It's not the cleanest job in the world, your hands get dirty pretty fast once the shift starts. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now and the locals know where to find us if they need a specific rubber component or some metal work done. We don't have a big reception area or anything, just the workspace where the actual work happens. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit damp being on the ground floor, but we manage. People stop by to ask questions about how things are made and we just show them what’s on the bench. It’s practical work, nothing too complicated to explain. We just stay busy with the orders that come in from the nearby shops and factories. It's just us doing our thing every day right here in the middle of all the Goregaon traffic. It's a bit gritty but that's just the manufacturing life.
