Running Jay Chamunda Maa Enterprises keeps us pretty busy in Goregaon East. We are over in I B Patel Nagar, which is a lively spot with a lot of people moving around all the time. Our shop is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The space isn't huge, but it works for everything we need to do. Most of our days are spent talking to customers who drop in and managing the different things we keep in stock. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually keep the front open to get a bit of air, even if it brings in some dust from the street. We aren't trying to be some massive company with hundreds of employees. We just want to run our own enterprise and keep things moving along. The people around this part of Goregaon are mostly working folks, so we fit right in. There is always noise from the nearby shops and the traffic, but that’s just how life is in I B Patel Nagar. We’ve got our daily routine down now. We open up, sweep the front area, and get to work. It is not a glamorous job, but it is ours. We have been at this address for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change, but we are still here doing our thing every day. We don't use fancy talk or big marketing tricks. We just stay here and work until it is time to close up and go home.
