Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre

We’ve been here at 15 Dr. G. Deshmukh Road for a long time now. People in Mumbai know the building well. It’s a busy spot, always something going on with doctors running around and patients coming in from all over. The research side of things keeps the labs humming late into the night. We don't really do the fancy corporate talk because there isn't time for it when you're dealing with real health issues every single hour. The halls are a bit narrow in places and it gets crowded, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Our staff usually eats lunch in a hurry. You’ll see the security guards out front waving cars in and out all day. It’s a lot of work to keep a place like this running. Sometimes the elevators are slow, but they get you there eventually. We focus on the medical stuff mostly. The rooms have seen a lot of history. Researching new ways to help people is just part of the daily grind for the folks in the back rooms. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s a place that functions. We see families waiting in the lobby, some looking worried and others just tired. That’s just the atmosphere here. We’ve grown over the years, adding bits here and there. It’s a practical setup, meant for work and getting things done for the people who walk through our doors.
