Jariyaann is right there at Shop No. 3, 658 Kailas Nagar, directly across from Bhatia Hospital on Tardeo Road. Being near a hospital means there is always a lot of movement outside—ambulances, people rushing around, and taxis honking. Our shop is small, but it is in a good spot for people to see us. We mostly deal with traditional wear and heavy embroidery work. You can see the mannequins in the window wearing some of the newer pieces we have finished recently. Inside, it is a bit cramped because we have so many rolls of silk and cotton stacked up against the walls. We have a small bench for customers to sit on while we show them different patterns and colors. The lighting could be brighter, but we use a handheld lamp when we need to show the fine details of the thread work. Sometimes the smell of medicine from across the street drifts in, but usually, it is just the smell of new fabric and tea. We do not have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. Most of our customers are locals or people who happen to be in the area for the hospital. We talk to everyone who comes in, even if they are not buying anything. It is important to be friendly. The traffic on Tardeo Road never seems to stop, and we stay open until the street lights come on in the evening and the other shops start closing.
