James Engineering Works

James Engineering Works is based on the ground floor of Karma Stambh, D 3, over in Vikhroli West. The workshop is usually full of the smell of grease and the sound of metal being worked on. It is a ground-floor spot, which makes it easier for us to move heavy parts in and out without much trouble. We have various machines and tools spread across the floor. It is not the neatest place you have ever seen, but we know where everything is. Most of our days are spent fixing things or making parts that people need. We wear overalls that usually have a few stains on them by the end of the shift. Engineering is about being precise, but the environment we work in is quite rugged. We do not have a receptionist or a big waiting room. If you come by, you will probably find us mid-job with a wrench in hand. Vikhroli West has a lot of industrial energy, and we fit right into that. We have been at this for quite a while now. The work is steady and it requires a bit of muscle sometimes. We just focus on the task in front of us. It is an honest way to make a living and we take it one day at a time. The office part of the shop is just a small desk with a lot of blueprints and old invoices piled up in the corner. That is just our way.
