Jamali Screen Printers

Jamali Screen Printers is tucked away in Gala No 316 on the third floor of the A Wing in the Success I building. We are located in Byculla, not too far from the Sanskar Deep School and just around the corner from Raja Restaurant. If you come by during lunch, the smell of food from the restaurant usually fills the hallway. Our workshop is always a bit of a mess with screens, squeegees, and buckets of ink sitting around. Screen printing is a hands-on job, so our clothes usually have a few paint stains on them by the end of the day. We do a lot of printing for local events, schools, and small shops that need their logos on stuff. It’s noisy in here when the machines are running, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Byculla is a very busy part of town, and there is always something going on outside. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the gala where the work actually happens. People come in with their ideas, and we see if we can make it work on fabric or paper. Sometimes the humidity makes the ink dry slow, which can be a real pain when we are in a rush to finish a big batch. We just take it one job at a time and try to make sure everything comes out looking clear. It’s hard work and it gets hot, but it’s what we do for a living.
