Jai Hind College

The admissions office for Jai Hind College is located on A Road in Churchgate. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets, especially with the train station so close by. People are always rushing past. The building itself has a lot of history to it. We spend most of our time inside these walls dealing with stacks of applications and answering questions from people who walk in off the street. It’s a bit of an old-school environment. The fans spin overhead while we sort through paperwork for the upcoming semesters. Churchgate is a lively part of Maharashtra, and being here means we see all sorts of people every day. We don’t have fancy digital displays everywhere; it’s more about folders and physical forms. Sometimes the queue gets long and we have to ask people to wait their turn in the hallway. We try to keep things moving as quickly as we can, but there is always a lot to do. You can hear the city noise from outside, but we’re used to it. The staff here is just a bunch of regular people who know the system well and try to help students figure out their next steps. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for keeping the college running. We’ve been in this spot for a very long time, and the routine hasn't changed much. We just show up and handle the paperwork as it comes.
