Our workshop is located at F-115 in the Sharad Industrial Estate. We’re right on Lake Road in Bhandup-West. It’s a busy industrial pocket of Mumbai. We work with plastic machinery, or what we call PLA-MACH. The estate is a bit old, and the roads can get pretty jammed up with trucks during the day. Inside our unit, it's mostly the sound of metal being worked on. We have a small team of guys who know how to put these machines together. We don't have much of an office, just a small corner with a desk and some old files. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor. We handle everything from the frames to the electrical bits that make the plastic parts. Sometimes we walk down to the lake road to get some air when it gets too hot inside. We’ve been in Bhandup for quite a while now. We know most of the other people working in the Sharad estate. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People find us because they need machines that do a specific job. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders out on time. It’s a lot of grease, metal, and hard work every day of the week.
