Jagdish Singh Kesar Singh

The office for Jagdish Singh Kesar Singh is located at 6 Poona Street in the Eastern Chambers building. It’s an old part of the city and the building has that classic feel to it. We deal with a lot of different things throughout the day, mostly coordinating orders and making sure things are where they need to be. There are always boxes or samples lying around the corners of the room. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere, so things aren't always perfectly organized, but we know exactly where everything is. The phones ring quite a bit with people asking about deliveries or prices. Poona Street can be quite a squeeze with all the trucks and loaders, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We usually have a pot of tea going and some snacks on the table while we work through the ledgers. It’s not the kind of place you’d go for a fancy meeting, but it works for what we do. We’ve been in Eastern Chambers for years and have seen many shops come and go. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on shipments that are coming through the port area nearby. It’s steady work and we don’t try to make it sound more complicated than it is. We just show up and handle whatever comes through the door in this busy neighborhood.
