Jafeer Bhais Delhi Darbar

You can find us at 195/197 Patthe Bapurao Marg over in Grant Road East. This part of Mumbai is always crowded and the noise from the street never really stops. We have been running things here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. We spend most of our day in the heat of the kitchen, surrounded by big pots and the smell of spices. It’s a busy atmosphere with waiters rushing around and customers squeezed into the tables. We don’t have much room to move, but we are used to the tight space. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is always a bit worn down from so many feet walking on it. We start early in the morning to get the slow-cooking dishes started. By lunchtime, it’s usually a bit of a madhouse. We don't use any fancy systems, just pens and paper to take down what people want. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up when it’s too loud, but we fix it quickly. It is just a local spot where we work hard and try to keep the food coming out hot. At night, we close up the shutters and head home, exhausted but ready for the next day. It is hard work but we are used to it.
