J. S. Engineering Services

Our workshop is over at 86 Poongothai Nagar, near the Civil Aerodrome in Peelamedu. You can hear the planes taking off all the time, which is something you just get used to after a week or two. We provide engineering services and have a small setup here that handles most of our daily projects. It’s a residential area mostly, so we try to keep the noise down in the evenings out of respect for the neighbors. We started this because we liked fixing things and it eventually turned into a full-time business for us. The garage area is where most of the work actually happens. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment tucked away in there. It’s not the biggest shop in the world, but we’re organized enough to handle a good amount of work. Most of our customers are local businesses that need help with maintenance or small fabrication jobs. We don't have a big sales team or anyone in a suit; usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone while holding a wrench or a tool. We try to be helpful and give people a straight answer about how long a job will actually take. It’s a decent living and we enjoy the challenge of a new problem to solve. We’ve been in Peelamedu for a good while now and feel like a part of the neighborhood.
