J. R. Speciality Chemicals is based out of the Styline Apitom building on Kirol Road. We are on the fifth floor, in unit 505, right across from the Jwalijim Khana in Ghatkopar West. It’s a decent spot to be, even if the traffic on Kirol Road can be a real headache in the afternoons. Our office isn't one of those modern, glass-walled places you see in the movies. It’s a practical workspace where we keep our records and manage the business. We focus on speciality chemicals, which means a lot of technical talk and looking at data sheets all day. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we don't really think about it as anything special; it’s just the job. The building has a lift that works most of the time, and the security guards are friendly enough once they know who you are. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We’re a smaller team, which means everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phones to helping with the logistics. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers piled up on desks and coffee mugs everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements because most of our people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here forever.
