Our place is down on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road. We are in that section by the Mahpala Masjid, specifically at 1/3, 114/116. It’s an old part of the city and the building shows its age, but it’s sturdy. We’ve been operating out of here for generations now. The street outside is always crowded with people and carts going back and forth. You can hear the prayers from the masjid nearby throughout the day. Inside, we have shelves piled high with whatever we are working on at the moment. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. My brothers and I run things together. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning, just the old windows that let in the street noise. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop and do it. We get a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since my grandfather was in charge. We just sit here, do the work, and talk to whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and the street gets a bit quieter then. It feels different at night. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day.
