We’re down in Girgaum, right in the heart of Mumbai. It’s a very crowded area, but it’s home for Itd Cemetation India Ltd. The streets are always full of people, cars, and noise at all hours of the day. Our office is a simple place where we get the daily tasks done. We don't have a big shiny lobby with a receptionist or anything like that. It’s just a room with desks, computers, and a lot of old files stacked up. Working in this part of Mumbai means you get used to the fast pace and the constant humidity. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff here for the company. Everyone knows each other’s names, and we usually go out to grab lunch from the local Vada Pav stalls nearby. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done and keeps us going. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, with new shops opening and old ones closing, but the way we work hasn't changed much. We just focus on the projects we have on our plate and try to keep things moving forward. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking site reports or making sure the bills are paid on time. It’s a busy life, but it’s a good one. We don’t go in for big speeches about what we do. We just come in, do the work, and go home. That’s how things work in Girgaum. It's a real place for real work.
