ITAMMA

ITAMMA is tucked away on the fourth floor of the Bhogilal Hargovindas Building. We are right in the middle of the Kala Ghoda area in Fort, which is a very old and busy part of Mumbai. The building has that classic look, with high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of the street noise. Being on K. Dubash Marg means we are surrounded by a lot of history and art galleries, but inside our office, it’s all about the textile machinery association work. We have stacks of files and ledgers everywhere. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of members visiting, but we make it work. The elevator is one of those older ones that takes its time, so sometimes it's faster to just take the stairs if you're feeling energetic. We spend our days answering letters, coordinating with different units, and keeping the records straight. It’s a lot of administrative stuff, really. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some tea bags in the corner. It’s an honest office where people come to get things sorted out. We’ve been here for years, and we know almost everyone in the building by now. It’s just how we operate, keeping it simple and focusing on the members.
