Salika Ethnic is over in Iram Parkar Manor. We are on the 3rd floor of the building. It is located on L- J Cross Road No. 2. We are right behind Saint Michle High School. You can hear the kids shouting and playing during their recess time. It’s actually a nice sound to work to every day. We make traditional ethnic clothes here. We have a lot of bright fabrics and all sorts of embroidery supplies. There are needles and colorful thread everywhere. Sometimes you might step on a pin if you aren't being careful where you walk. The 3rd floor gets a decent breeze if we keep the windows open. We have a small cutting table in the middle and a few sewing stations. It’s mostly women from the neighborhood working here. They like to talk and laugh while they sew. It’s a friendly, relaxed place to be. We don't have a big corporate office with fancy furniture. It's just a regular flat that we turned into a workspace. We started out very small and just stayed that way. We like the neighborhood a lot. It’s relatively quiet compared to the noise of the main road. We don't have a big sign outside to show where we are. Just the name on the door is enough. People find us by word of mouth or through friends. We take our time with the patterns to make sure they are right. If something is wrong, we just undo it and start again. That’s how we work.
