International Garage

Our garage is part of the Remon Auto Work setup at Pinto Villa in Dadar West. We are right near Chandrika Automobile, so there are always cars and bikes lined up along the street. It’s a greasy place, and my hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. We have been working on engines here for a long time. The floor is stained with oil from years of repairs, and the air always smells like gasoline and old tires. It’s a loud place because someone is always using a pneumatic tool or revving an engine to see if the idle is right. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. Most people just stand around and watch us work or go for a walk while we finish up. It gets really busy on Saturday mornings when everyone realizes their car has a problem before the weekend. I’ve lived in Dadar my whole life, so I know the shortcut to get parts when we are in a rush. We don't use any high-tech diagnostic stuff unless we really have to; mostly we just listen to the sound of the motor. It is a basic garage where we try to get vehicles back on the road. The roof leaks a little when it pours, but we just move the tools out of the way. It’s a hard job but we are used to the grind.
