Intercontinental The Grand Mumbai

Intercontinental The Grand Mumbai is situated right on Sahar Airport Road in Andheri East. Being so close to the airport means we see people from all over the place coming in at all hours of the day and night. It is a large building, and there is always something going on. We have a lot of rooms to look after and plenty of staff running around to keep things moving. The traffic on Sahar Airport Road can be a real headache, but once you get inside, it is a bit quieter. We are not into those big corporate mission statements you see everywhere. We just focus on the basic stuff like making sure the beds are made and the lobby is clean. It takes a lot of effort to run a place this big in a city like Mumbai. We have people working in the kitchen, people at the front desk, and others doing maintenance around the clock. It is a 24-hour operation because the planes never stop landing. Andheri East is a very busy part of the city, and we are right in the thick of it. We have been here for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. We just try to keep up with the work and make sure everyone who stays here has what they need. It is a lot of coordination between different departments to make sure things do not fall apart. Every day is different here.
