Intercontinental Marine Drive

Our address is 135 Marine Drive, which means we spend a lot of time looking out at the ocean. It’s one of the most famous roads in Mumbai, and the view never really gets old. Even when it’s raining hard during the monsoon, there is something about the waves hitting the wall across the street. We get a lot of people who come here just to see the sunset from the windows. The building itself has been here for a while, and we do our best to keep it looking sharp despite the salty air that tries to rust everything. The traffic on the Drive is loud and constant, with taxis honking and people walking along the promenade at all hours. Inside, it’s a bit different. We try to keep a calm atmosphere for the guests. Our staff knows the city well, so we can usually tell you which train to take or where the best street food is hiding nearby. We have a rooftop area that is popular, mostly because of the breeze. There isn't a lot of space for parking, which is just how it is on Marine Drive, so we deal with that every day. We aren't trying to be the newest or the trendiest spot, we just like being part of this old part of the city. It’s a practical place with a very good view.
