If you walk into the Raja Industrial Estate on Purshottam Kheraj Road, you’ll find us on the first floor. We are in office number 112/170. It’s one of those busy buildings in Mulund West where there’s always something being loaded or unloaded downstairs. We handle drive systems here at Integrated Drive Systems. It’s mostly technical work, so our desks are usually covered in diagrams and parts that we are looking at. The lighting isn't the best in some corners, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. The estate has been here for years, and it has that old industrial smell of metal and grease that you just get used to after a week. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and find one of us. Most of the time we are on the phone or looking at a computer screen trying to figure out a client's problem. It’s a practical space. We chose Mulund because it’s easy for the staff to get to from the station. Lunch is usually whatever we brought from home or something quick from the small shops nearby. It’s not a place for showing off, just a place where we put in the hours and make sure the systems are running like they should. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the workshops nearby, but we just shut the door and carry on with our tasks.
